Greg's Puzzlehunt Puzzle Pack

These are puzzles I've written for the Microsoft Puzzlehunt. These puzzles traditionally have no or limited instructions, and your goal is to find an answer that's a word or short phrase. Some puzzles use common puzzle encodings.

Please do not email the addresses in the puzzle footers, they are no longer being monitored. If you need a hint or have any other issues, please post on Itch or contact me directly if you have my contact info.

The check answer links go to an external site. It doesn’t let me provide partial responses to close-but-incorrect answers or have multiple correct answers, so I’ve added some notes to disambiguate.

• Puzzlehunt 17 was music themed. I contributed Paperback Writer to the Beatles module. (check answer)
  
• Puzzlehunt 19 was TV themed. I co-wrote the Iron Chef module with Jonah, writing three puzzles plus the meta (not included here):
  • France Battle Special (check answer, the first word is 5 letters)
  • Battle: Kebabs (check answer)
  • Battle: Stone (check answer, the answer is 2 words)
• Puzzlehunt 21 was video game themed. I contributed Wario to the Smash Brothers module. (check answer) It’s a set of minipuzzles, so have an answer checker for each one:
  • 9-Volt, Ashley, Dribble & Spitz, Jimmy T, Mona, Orbulon
• Puzzlehunt 22 was alternate universe themed. I wrote three puzzles for the Binary Earth module plus one of its sub-metas:
  • Ariel (check answer)
  • Endevaour (check answer)
  • Zarya (check answer)

Jonah Ostroff (for Iron Chef and Wario) and Roy Leban (for Paperback Writer and Binary Earth) were my main collaborators and did final layout, some editorial advice, and general motivation. None of these would have happened without them. I don’t have data on everyone who test solved and provided feedback on these puzzles, but I appreciate their help.
